This photo was taken on a special day. Not only was it my 35th birthday, but it was also the day I completed the first draft of my novel Taylor Gaines. For the last five years, I became my own block, giving in to self-doubt. This website is a push towards sharing my short stories with the world and introducing my novel as I look into publishing options.
My storytelling is heavily influenced by the music and fashion of the 90s (the most revisited decade) and authors like Eric Jerome Dickey, Omar Tyree, & Terry McMillan. Taylor Gaines uses song references and descriptive fashion throughout to introduce you to the thought process of Taylor, the main character.
